The fee is $40 and includes a shirt or if you raise at least $150 your fee is waived... great rewards at various fundraising levels! So if I were you I would get out there and start EARLY!

"The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs.

Each year, thousands of Canadians of all ages and walks of life unite to participate in the Run. The reasons for participating vary, but we all have the same goal in mind: to create a future without breast cancer.

Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference 2010 Ambassadors Wanted!!!!

The Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference (CUTC) is about technology, innovative ideas, and the people who turn these ideas into reality. CUTC is Canada's biggest student ran technology conference.

We are developing the community that will help define the future path of technology, and linking the technological leaders of today with those of tomorrow. We are looking for ambassadors to represent CUTC at your university, and you can be a part of the team that makes our conference blossom.

As an ambassador, you will be part of the Student Relations (SR) team. The SR team oversees the promotion of CUTC among the undergraduate community across Canada and actively works to bring as many and as diverse a group of people together for the conference. We also work with teams like Public Relations (PR), Sponsorship and Logistics to provide students with their best conference experience yet!

You will be the official representative of CUTC at your school and will work closely with the regional organizers as well as other ambassadors at your school to assemble a student delegation. SR will also rely on you for ground information as to where and how we can obtain subsidies for students. The SR team will assist you in obtaining any necessary resources. We are looking for people from all faculties and welcomes more than one ambassador per school.

  • Time Commitment:
As an ambassador, you are looking at about on average 2 hour per week commitment (from now until Dec), flexible to your availability, but committed to weekly status reports. You may have a few meetings to meet with potential sponsors in your school.

Some of the Perks:
  • Many of the ambassadors in the previous years have been given a free pass for the conference (valued at over $100)
  • Many opportunities to build your network, within the university and the sponsors
  • Enhance your organizing and communication skills by interacting with university officials and students clubs on your campus
  • You get to be part of the very driven CUTC organizing team
  • You get to represent CUTC at your campus and participate in VIP only networking event
  • "CUTC Ambassador" on your resume does not hurt! Many of the tech companies (Microsoft, Amazon, RIM, etc.) are sponsors for CUTC.

How you can join, fill out the following form by June 13. The application form is available via
www.cutc.ca
